My name is Rachael, but you can call me Slim. I’m from Augusta, Georgia and currently reside in the DMV.

Who am I? I’ve been figuring that out for the past 30 years (lol). I am an athlete, a scholar, and a creative. I’m adventurous, goofy, and truly a southern-belle. I love brunch, getting dressed up and traveling.

What makes HomeGirlGuide different is that I travel for discovery. I have a knack for finding hidden gems, identifying what makes countries unique, and understanding the value of time/money/experiences. In every blog post you’ll find the Homegirl guide “Inside scoop” which will give you an uncut personal account of what I discovered during my trip. I also identify activities that I personally found interesting and the food and drinks you should try while you’re out there living your best life.

I always provide you with the essentials: language, currency, and Outlet types so you can be prepared for your trip. We will cover accommodations, transportation, planning tools, and all you need! Likewise, my Style Guides help you save your coin and look fabulous wherever you may go. I believe we can live our best lives and budget at the same d*** time.
